Base on talk of the former UFC heavyweight champion, Junior dos Santos believes a fight with Charles Oliveira is not a good idea for Conor McGregor.
Don't forget that Charles Oliveira (33-8 MMA, 21-8 UFC) was stripped of his title at UFC 274 despite a convincing victory over Justin Gaethje. The Brazilian boxer has been scheduled for a title fight with Islam Makhachev at the UFC 280 event in October.
However, Do Bronx has repeatedly tried to campaign for a fight with former UFC 2-weight champion, Conor McGregor (22-6 MMA, 10-4 UFC) but did not receive a positive response.
Now, when commenting on this, former UFC Junior heavyweight champion dos Santos believes it was a rational move by McGregor because Oliveira was not a good fight for the Irish boxer.
Charles Oliveira repeatedly called for a fight with Conor McGregor.
“Did you see that not long ago Charles Oliveira challenged [Conor] McGregor?” 'Cigano' shared on Podpah Podcast.
“And McGregor is ignoring it. Of course, we all know, he's just pretending. Obviously, he didn't want to, it was a bad fight for him."
Oliveira has not less than once confirmed her desire to fight McGregor. Last month, the Brazilian boxer broadcast on ESPN Brazil: "It was a good fight for me."
Conor McGregor is recovering from an injury.
“It will make me a lot of money and at the moment that is the most important thing. And it's also really beneficial to my legacy, to give me a highlight in my career."
"Regardless of whether he comes back from defeat or not, he is someone who has made history, so I think that would be great, but it's not just up to me."
He added “If it was me, this war would have happened.”
